General
In this section you will find significant and useful information that concerns all Cyprus residents - Cypriot Citizens, European Citizens or Citizens of other countries - and covers the entire life-cycle of a human being; from his/her birth, up to his/her retirement and termination of life.
The information and available electronic services (eServices) are distributed to the seven most important chapters/events of a person's life: Birth, Education, National Guard Service, Employment, Marriage, Family and Retirement.

Citizen Service Centres
The citizen is the focal point of every society, every state, and every government. The ultimate aim of all the organisations is to provide high standard services to the citizens and to continuously improve their standard of living and quality of life.
Towards this aim and in conjuction with the commitment of the President of the Republic for "a change in the Civil Service, which will be perceptible to the citizens", a total of four Citizen Service Centres have been established, one in Lefkosia (Nicosia) which has been operating since December 2005, one in Limassol which has been operating since October 2006, one in Polis Chrysochous which has been operating since January 2007 and one in Pelendri which has been operating since October 2007. These Centres - and all others which will be established in the near future in all districts - have been equipped, by the Department of Information Technology Services (DITS) - in collaboration with the Department of Public Administration and Personnel - with the following Information Systems:
- The Civil Registration and Migration System
- The Road Transport System
- The Social Insurance System
- The Grants and Benefits System
- Cadastral Plans - a Lands and Surveys Department System
- European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
Exploiting the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the citizen can be served easily, quickly and effectively for 64 different services, by just visiting the Citizen Service Centre once; and thus avoiding the hassle of moving from Ministry to Ministry and from Department to Department.
